bio printing and handweaving
The bio prints were treated and printed by hand. White cotton fabric was purchased and then prepared for dying with a mordant bath of vinegar, salt, and baking soda. Printing was done with the pigments of found flowers and leaves, by pounding them into the fabric with a hammer, and ironed to set.
Weaving was handmade with found wool and fibers, on a homemade loom made from a picture frame and nails.
