In propagation I blend sculptural elements with Fluxus values. I built a greenhouse in the shape of my childhood home, and over the course of a month I nurtured my vegetable scraps, and clippings taken from dying plants in pubic spaces, which I housed in recycled food containers.
Both the creation of a functional, fertile space, and an exercise in broader themes of salvaging and investing patience in the 'undesirable', I tend to the pieces like children. I nurture them and ask them to grow into more. I practice not giving up on myself and the parts I don't want.
