Continuing the themes in propagation (2021), blind faith (2022) is a provisional living art sculpture, emphasizing the artistic process over the final product. I practiced germination as an exercise in patience, rest, and creating the conditions to promote slow and gentle growth. All I did, for one month, was try to grow as many things as I could from my grocery produce, with things found in my own home. The hope was that by learning to engage in slow and gentle growth, I might be able to apply the practices to myself.

"germination as a form of blind faith. of slow and gentle growth. to do it you must say 'I believe that you can be more than you seem. I promise to give you my love and light, and let you grow slowly and on your own time. I may not see you for weeks and weeks but I still will be patient and kind.'"
